What we were handed.
Every piece is made to measure. Showrooms took orders on paper, the workshop tracked jobs on job cards, and stock lived in a spreadsheet the storekeeper updated on Thursdays.
Wood and fabric ran out halfway through orders. Showrooms promised delivery dates the workshop couldn’t see. Closing the month took the accountant twelve days.
Six pieces, one system.
- 01
An ERP configured for made-to-order
Selling, Stock, Manufacturing, Buying, Accounting and HR, set up around their products and workflow.
- 02
Showroom order form
A customer’s measurements and fabric choice become a bill of materials and a work order automatically.
- 03
Workshop tablets
Each job moves through cutting, assembly, upholstery and finishing. The showroom sees the stage live.
- 04
Reorder points
Wood, foam and fabric are reordered based on each supplier’s lead time, before they run out.
- 05
Piece-rate payroll
Craftsmen are paid from completed job stages, calculated by the system instead of a notebook.
- 06
Data migration
Four years of customers, items and opening balances, checked and moved in.
From start to finish.
“The showroom finally knows what the workshop knows. We promise dates we can keep.”
